I always walked by this place but never went in. This time, we drove by and stopped to actually have lunch there. What a pleasant surprise by the warm greeting from the staff to the amazing food they served. We had some sandwiches, ebi fry and a fresh crab salad (that was the highlight). We finished our meal with delicious coffee and warabi mochi! I highly recommend coming here for a light snack, or a full meal.

This was my second time at ZEN and the food was as delicious as my first time! We got 2 bento boxes (chicken karaage and salmon) and they were really fresh and tasty. The salmon was cooked perfectly! The miso soup was ok, it’s not usually served in a mug and was quite thick. The staff are super friendly and sitting outside on a nice day is perfect.

Probably the best value and taste lunch bento in Acton. I ordered fried chicken bento takeaway. It is quickly freshly made. Generous portion and comes with salad and sauces. £10 for takeaway. Yum!

Discovered this cute Japanese cafe on my way home from work. They have been open since December but only once a week and has their grand opening last week. I only walked in to see what was on the counter but I was sucked in with the owner’s friendliness. He recommended the salmon and although I was only in the mood for a sweet treat, I had to oblige. I didn’t regret it either! He heated it up for me and carefully packed it separately from the salad just in case I changed my mind and wanted it for later. I ate it immediately and it was delicious and just with just the right amount of sweetness. It wasn’t fishy or dry but very light and moist. I enjoyed it thoroughly with the salad. £7.20 takeaway I also grabbed the matcha cookies which come together in a pack of three for £2.00. They were crunchy and sweet and I enjoyed them with my matcha latte. I didn’t get a huge matcha taste from them but they were enjoyable nonetheless. The owner informed me that all the chicken is Halal and that he has many gluten free products. This made me very happy and I am eager to come back and try something new. I wish this new business all the best and hope to visit soon.
